Breakfast for dinner is always one of our favorite meals. One night we had french toast and I thought I might experiment with some holiday flavors.
I LOVE that Kroger offers LOW FAT egg nog. It tastes great too. It is our go to egg nog every Christmas Season. It takes a lot of the guilt out of having some every night as my husband and I watch a Christmas movie.
Anyway. I had egg nog on hand and decided to use it to make some French Toast.
EGG NOG FRENCH TOAST
3/4 cup Egg Nog
2 large eggs
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of Nutmeg
Whisk all together. Dip the bread of your choice in mixture and cook on a well oiled, hot griddle.
This big griddle helps me fry up a bunch at a time, so no one is left waiting. I like mine a little crispy, so I cook it extra long.
The texture of this recipe turned out so nicely.
Quickly you will have a nice stack of Egg Nog French Toast to serve to your hungry kiddo’s. We just served them with syrup, but you could also whip up some whipped cream and sprinkle it with some cinnamon and nutmeg.
