In October our family loves to have Halloween themed dinners. Mummy pizza is our all time favorite. Usually I fix a “giant” mummy that we cut up and serve. This year I decided to make individual mummies so everyone could eat their favorite body part. A little more work but it was fun.
I started with my favorite pizza dough recipe and divided it into 6 portions. They were a good handful each. Then I rolled each dough ball out into a funny rectangular shape, making the shoulders wide and the toes and head narrow. Then I cut slits for the mummy wrappings, leaving the head and feet intact.
Down the middle of the dough place your desired pizza toppings. I did sauce, mozzarella cheese and Turkey pepperoni.
Carefully fold up the toes and work your way up the body, overlapping the dough and then folding over the head. I cut some pepperoni to make the eyes. Bake at 425 for 12-15 minutes or until browned.
Serve with your favorite “creepy” vegetables. I did squash and onions and roasted Kale chips.
