Travels With Gannon & Wyatt Book series review and giveaway

Travels with Gannon & Wyatt 3 book series giveaway ends 11/25

We love to read at our house.  There is nothing I like better than to curl up with a good book at the end of a long hard day.  It is wonderful to immerse yourself in a story that takes you away.  One of my goals has been to instill a love a reading in my children.  When they were little I would snuggle up with them and a pile of fun children’s books to read.  We would spend hours reading great stories and I loved that time.  Now that they are older, they don’t want to snuggle as much, but they still like to read together.  We always have a family book that I read out loud together  in the evening just before bed.  It is a wonderful way to relax and have an adventure together.  Since we have a range of ages, sometimes it is difficult to find a story or series that they are all interested in.  I was given the opportunity to review the Travels with Gannon & Wyatt book series and it has been wonderful.  Though it is a middle grade reader, we all found it interesting. The Travels with Gannon & Wyatt is a 3 book series beginning with the first in the series “Botswana” and continuing with “Great Bear Rainforest” and the soon to be released “Egypt”.  In “Botswana” we meet twins Gannon & Wyatt who travel the world with their parents.  On this adventure they travel to Africa for a Safari experience and have many exciting events along the way.  It is written in journal entry style alternating between Gannon & Wyatt, so you get to see their different personalities.  My children appreciated the fact that there were a few pictures sprinkled throughout the text.  These were actual pictures of Africa and its environment.  I appreciated the fact that there was a lot of factual text woven throughout this fiction adventure.  Our kids are being challenged in school to read more non-fiction literature and I love the fact that these stories weave the two together.  It helps my children learn that facts can be interesting.  If you are looking for a good middle reader series, this is a great one to try.  Your kids will enjoy reading it on their own or you can go on the adventure together.

I am excited to be able to giveaway a 3 book series of Travels with Gannon & Wyatt to one of my readers.  This would be perfect to give someone for Christmas.  Enter the rafflecopter below (open to US residents only)

Hi, Stopping by from DBB. Our family loves to read as well! Nothing beats historical fiction, it helps the kids stay interested (and me too) My favorite book is a tie between Hobbit and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe…yes I am a grow-up. Thanks for posting

I love to read and so do all my kids! My all-time favorite book is probably Pride and Prejudice. I would love to win these books for my son!
