A few months ago we spotted a vintage sled in a garbage pile on the side of the road. I have always loved the way they look, so we grabbed it, knowing we could do something with it.
Needless to say, it wasn’t very pretty. I wiped it down well and then put one coat of dark stain on it. When the stain was dry, I put on a coat of rub on poly urethane to protect it and make the color rich.
After seeing this post from Anderson and Grant, I knew how I wanted to make a Vintage Christmas Sled out of it. Putting together the greenery was pretty easy. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. The dark stain, makes it look elegant and all the Christmas greenery makes it classy. It is my favorite Christmas decoration this year.
