I have a confession to make. It has taken me over a year to figure out the best way to organize my piano books. My kids are famous for throwing each others piano books onto the floor when it is their turn to practice. It sure makes a mess of the room!
I had an idea for a basket that the kids could throw their piano books AND their piano book bags in instead of leaving them all over the floor. I wanted something easy that they could just “throw” everything in. I had this swiffer box on hand, so I thought I would use it to try out my theory. WELL, it ended up doing the job for over a year.
On a recent trip to Target, I finally found my answer. Originally I thought I wanted an antique wire basket. (which is one reason it took me so long, I couldn’t find a wire basket that I liked). Then I saw this fabulous basket that was big and it was tall. I realized that a wire basket would hold all the books and bags, BUT I would be able to see all of the jumble of books and bags.
Plus it had great chalkboard plaques on it. All the bags and books fit great, and it is easy to use.
