I love being outdoors enjoying the sun and lots of fun activities. To help myself feel my best I try my hardest to stay hydrated, but too often I find myself falling short. I like to drink water, but there are many times when I want something with a little flavor and sparkle.
I was really thrilled when I learned that Walmart is selling new Dasani Sparkling Slim Cans (12oz, 8 pack). I picked up a package on my last trip to Walmart so I could start enjoying it.
They have several different flavors, so I knew this would be the perfect thing to help my stay hydrated and enjoy a little escape from the goings on of the day with a fun and fizzy drink. I was excited when I thought of a new recipe for mango infused sparkling water.
My daughter recently returned from serving an 18-month church mission in the Dominican Republic. There they have mango trees in abundance, so she discovered lots of ways to fix mangos. One of her favorite recipes was homemade mango juice. It is easy to make, so I thought I would use the Dasani Sparkling to make mango infused sparkling water to put a twist on it and add some wonderful sparkle to the juice. To begin, peel and cube a mango and place it in a blender, pureeing the mango.
In in a 20 oz glass add 2 TBL of the mango puree and then slowly pour a can of Dasani Sparkling (your flavor choice) over the mango puree. Stir with a spoon until well combined.
When they are ready you can add them to your glass of mango infused sparkling water. They will help keep your drink nice and cool plus you have a fun little snack when you are done. I also added a frozen strawberry to my drink for a splash of color and a little flavor.
