Our family loves to travel and discover new places. I love to learn about different areas and experience their flavor and history. Travel makes some great family memories. We have so many fun travel stories that we like to revisit together. One thing I like to do to make our travels a success is to do a little research about an area before going. Knowing some options of where to eat is great for me because I can set a budget and plan a bit. Living in Tennessee we are blessed to be close to some great tourist areas, so I thought I would compile a list to share of Places to Eat in Pigeon Forge TN.
Huck Finn’s Catfish is probably our favorite place to go. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is charming. It is located at 3330 Parkway Pigeon Forge.
Just looking at that fried catfish is making my mouth drool! You can get all you can eat vittles to go along side that catfish also. Please don’t leave Pigeon Forge without trying this restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Plus it is affordable!
Captain Jim’s Seafood Buffet is another popular place to fill your belly. We like to hit buffets after an all day hike in the Smokies. They offer all you can eat crab legs which is a favorite of mine. They are located between traffic lights #8 and #10 on the parkway.
The Old Mill is a great destination right off the parkway that you can enjoy all afternoon. They have a wonderful restaurant that offers southern fried chicken and homemade bread among their choices. There are also a lot of cute shops that you can enjoy before or after your meal. Look for the Old Mill at traffic light #7.
Both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are known to have a plethora of pancake houses. There must be something about the mountain air that gets you in the mood for a stack of pancakes. Here are 3 pancake houses in Pigeon Forge that you may enjoy.
The Log Cabin Pancake House offers an all you can eat buffet until 2 pm and is located at 4235 Parkway Pigeon Forge.
Yet another pancake house is the Red Rooster. Lots of fun decor and good food can be found inside. 3215 Parkway is the address for this fun place. My boys always enjoy looking at all the tractor memorabilia here.
More pricey, but certainly a lot of fun are the dinner theaters that can be found. Dolly Parton has just opened her new Lumberjack Adventure dinner theater and it is a blast to go to. Find out all about it HERE. 2713 parkway is the address to use.
Probably the most popular dinner show is the Dixie Stampede. It has remained a perennial favorite with everyone. My husband and I even came here on our honeymoon 23 years ago! The food is amazing and the entertainment is top notch. It is a bit pricey, but worth every penny. (There soup is so good you WILL want to lick the bowl!). More details can be found HERE. It is located at 3849 Parkway.
Sometimes it is nice to just go to the grocery store and pick up some food for the family. It can save a lot of money also. Two of our favorites in Pigeon Forge are Kroger located at 220 Wears Valley rd (just off the parkway)
Food City is located at 3625 Parkway and is an easy stop to make if you are hungry. Our family likes to run in a grab some ice cream bars to enjoy.
I hope this list of places to eat in Pigeon Forge will help when you plan your next trip.
