apple-bread-3 Fall is here and I am so excited!  The colors, the cooler weather, the decorations and the food!  Oh the wonderful smells that come from baking pumpkin cookies, pumpkin delight, chili and this amazing apple bread.  All this wonderful food makes my kitchen smell incredible feel cozy and inviting.

I have been wanting to use some really tasty apples to make a delicious apple bread with cinnamon and nutmeg.  It sounded like the perfect thing to welcome in fall.  I actually looked through a vintage cookbook I have for some inspiration and ended up taking a apple cake recipe and customizing it into this amazing apple bread.  I added 1/4 applesauce to give it even more apple flavor.  The taste is amazing and perfect to enjoy warm on a cool crisp autumn day.  It is very moist and delicious and is in between an apple cake and apple bread so you get the best of both worlds.
