Bacon Crab Roll Ups are a perfect food to serve on game day and can easily be made ahead.
It’s that time of year when my family starts counting the days until it’s football time in Tennessee. We love gathering together as a family to enjoy a good football game whether it is our championship high school team or our favorite college squad. Game day is a time we look forward to fixing fun food and drinks to enjoy during the game. Planning the party food is fun for me but I have found a way to make my life easier using Walmart grocery pick up.
After I make my menu plan I simply choose the products I want on the Walmart grocery site, add it to my cart, choose a pick-up time and then the order is ready to pick up at my convenience. I can let them know when I am on my way also, so there is little to no waiting time. It is such a game day game changer for me saving me so much time. Another way I save time is to stock up on game days foods so I can have them on hand at a moments notice. We all like to enjoy a cold Coca-Cola® or Coke® Zero Sugar during the game along with fun fingers foods like my easy bacon crab roll ups and having them ready ahead of time helps me enjoy game time more.
The printable recipe is below~
Bacon crab roll ups are simple to make. After creating the mixture, form it into small, finger-like shapes and roll in 1/2 a piece of bacon. The roll ups are then cooked at 450° for about 15 minutes until browned and ready to serve. The wonderful thing about my bacon crab roll ups, besides how delicious they are, is that after they are baked you can freeze them to have them on hand for a quick appetizer. You may choose to make a couple of batches to freeze now and enjoy throughout football season.
On game day make them fresh or take them out of the freezer and bake them from frozen at 400° for about 15 minutes, until warmed through. Now they will be ready to serve along side cold Coke® Zero Sugar while cheering your favorite team on to victory.
I always like to add a little fun to my game day foods. This time I added some referees to our table by simply taping black and white striped scrapbook paper around cans of Coke® Zero Sugar and adding colorful whistles I found at the party store. Family and friends can now easily see which drink is their’s and also have fun blowing the whistle and calling penalties as they see them. (This might get a little out of hand, but fun none the less.)
I know I have a hit on my hand with my bacon crab roll ups and my referee Coca-Cola® cans because my husband keeps eating the roll ups and my son keeps blowing the whistles and both are having fun. My freezer already has a big bag of bacon crab roll ups ready to heat and serve for our first game day party which is just a few weeks away.
I hope you too are looking forward to football season and preparing by stocking up on delicious food and drinks like Coke® Zero Sugar. Remember Walmart is a great place to find all your game day needs and Walmart grocery pick-up makes gathering ingredients so quick and easy.
