Pumpkin Pecan Waffles with Caramel Syrup

I can’t seem to get enough of pumpkin recipes these days.  I decided to alter my go-to waffle recipe to give it a fresh Fall flavor, and it turned out amazing!  The flavors of the waffles and pecans together are mouth watering, rich and delicious.  In my Fall recipes I love to add cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.  These spices gives such a wonderful flavor and aroma.  Add the homemade Caramel Syrup on top and you have a meal that tastes more like a dessert and one that you simply cannot stop eating.  The recipe for the Pumpkin Pecan Waffles is below.  Here is the link for the Caramel Syrup recipe

Pumpkin Pecan Waffles

a rich and flavorful homemade pumpkin waffle with wonderful chopped pecans found throughout.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 2 Tbl Canola Oil
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp nutmeg
• 1/8 tsp cloves
• 1 cup fat free milk
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

1. Add all ingredients except pecans to a large mixing bowl
2. Whisk together until just combined (batter may have a few small lumps)
3. Stir in chopped pecans
4. Cook in a hot, well oiled, waffle iron
