Get ready to send some love with easy college care package ideas!
It is that time of year again when school has started, the weather is changing and I really start to think about wellness through the winter months. There are things that I have put into practice in my daily habits that I incorporate in my wellness routine too. I preach about getting a goodnight’s sleep, washing hands frequently, exercising daily and eating healthy foods. I also take supplements as an additional support to my wellness habits. I was shopping at Walmart in their vitamin section and noticed two Nature Made® products that I felt would help support my wellness plan. Nature Made® Vitamin D3 Adult Gummies contain 2000 IU of vitamin D3 per serving. Vitamin D aids in supporting bone, teeth, muscle and immune health, while also helping to improve calcium absorption.† Nature Made® Melatonin Adult Gummies provide 2.5 mg of melatonin, which helps your body reset its sleep/wake cycle.† Both of the supplements also taste great, because they are gummies!
I have a daughter in college 5 hours away from me. She is in her last semester and working hard toward graduating. From time to time, she does ask for some of the tips that I have learned about wellness in life. Along with sharing the habits of exercise, eating right and washing hands, I thought it would be fun to send her a college care package. Each time I send a college care package, I like to use a theme for the things that I send. This time I decided to use wellness as the theme. To make my college care package more fun for my daughter to open, I decided I could easily and inexpensively decorate the inside of the shipping box.
It comes together quickly, in less than 5 minutes.
You will need: A Shipping Box Spray Adhesive (you could also use a glue stick) Wrapping Paper Scissors Packing Tape Begin by opening up your shipping box to lay flat. Roll out a length of wrapping paper to fit the size of your box. Apply spray adhesive to the inside side of your box and immediately press the box onto the wrapping paper. If you line up one of the long edges of the box with the edge of your wrapping paper, it helps to keep everything straight. Press the paper firmly to all the parts of the box.
Cut away the excess paper around the edges, then with scissors, cut the paper where the box flaps separate.
Assemble the box and secure with packing tape on the outside. Now it is ready to fill with goodies to ship to your favorite college student.
I started by adding colorful crinkle paper that complimented the design and colors of the wrapping paper.
To stick with my wellness theme I added a box of tissues, hand sanitizer for home and on the go, a sleep mask, Nature Made® Melatonin Adult Gummies, Nature Made® Vitamin D3 Adult Gummies and of course, homemade cookies. I think this college wellness care package is a fun surprise for any college student in helping support their overall health. I would love to hear your wellness tips!
