We recently had a birthday in our house, and that was for our #1 Lego man. He LOVES Legos. He will go to bed dreaming about his next project. It is so fun to see him create. Of course with his love of Legos we had to have a Lego cake for him. I saw some Lego cake inspiration on Pinterest and on Bettycrocker.com and decided to try my own version. This was such a fun cake to make. I think because it was easy and turned out great!
I baked a cake mix in two loaf pans and then placed them on a cookie sheet covered in foil. I made my favorite frosting and colored it red and yellow. I frosted each cake and then cut some regular sized marshmallows in half and placed them as I wanted on the frosted cakes. Then carefully I frosted the marshmallows so the cakes would turn out looking like Lego bricks. To make it even more fun, we did some quick, easy candles out of mini Lego figures.
Simply find the mini figure you would like to use and carefully push a wax birthday candle into it’s “hand”. The candle is the perfect size and will stay firmly in it’s grip. Then place your figures how you want on the cake and you will have an Easy Lego cake perfect for a Lego Birthday!
