Do you find yourself wondering what to fix for dinner every evening?  Do your kids always ask you “What’s for dinner Mom?”  Have you ever found yourself running to the grocery store right at dinner time because you don’t have an ingredient on hand?  I have experienced all of these scenarios and I don’t like any of them.

Years ago I developed a meal planning system that was simple and worked well for me.  I didn’t plan every meal, I simply planned dinner.  That’s the meal where we all come together again and we are hungry and tired from the day.  This was the meal that was most important for me to plan.  I discovered that when I planned dinner I was more organized while grocery shopping so that I have everything on hand and ready to prepare.  I also don’t panic about what to fix that night.  When the kids ask “what’s for dinner?” I direct them to the menu and they are happy.  They even like to make suggestions for meals.

To help with your dinner planning I have prepared a free printable dinner menu planner to make your week more manageable and organized.  Now the hard part:  What to plan for dinner?

Did you know that many Walmart’s offer online grocery pickup service?  Walmart has made it really convenient for me to shop.  I can shop in store or I can order my groceries online and have them brought right out to my car.  All I do is order what I need on Walmart’s grocery app, reserve a pick up time and then drive to Walmart to pick up my order.

I also discovered that Walmart carries Marie Callender’s frozen meal options.  There are these new single serving  “bowls” which are offered in great varieties: Red Chili Grilled Chicken Burrito Bowl, Cheesy Chipotle Rice and Bean Bowl,  Sweet and Spicy Chicken & Noodle Bowl, Creamy Vermont Mac & Cheese Bowl,  Tender Ginger Beef and Broccoli Bowl,  Sweet and Savory Sesame Chicken Bowl, Sweet Pineapple Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. I added several to my online shopping cart for my family to enjoy.

With so many delicious varieties I can plan an easy prep dinner for the family.  My family loves it because they can choose the Marie Callender’s bowl that they like best.  The other day I tried the Spicy Buffalo Style Chicken Mac & Cheese.  It was delicious with a spicy buffalo sauce, chicken breast fritters and cheesy pasta.  I am especially excited that these meals contains no preservatives, and no artificial flavors or colors.

I love the fact that I can keep new Marie Callender’s Bowls in the freezer to have on hand.  Plus everyone in my family can choose what they would like to have for dinner.

Do you have a meal planning system that works for you?  What Marie Callender’s Bowl would you plan to have for dinner?
