Just 5 simple, natural ingredients and you can make these delicious homemade Lara bars.
I have been trying to improve my eating habits little by little. I have been eating less processed sugar and planning more vegetables an fruits into my diet. Since doing this I have noticed that I feel better and have more energy, but at times it is difficult because I want something sweet and full of chocolate.
That’s where these homemade Lara bars ~ chocolate fudge flavor come in.
I make them with just 5 all natural ingredients (one of which is water) and they seriously can be made in 5 minutes in your food processor. So easy and delicious. In this recipe I use prunes as the base. Lots of recipes I have seen use figs. I chose to use prunes because they are less expensive and I was having a hard time finding the right kind of prunes at my local stores. Adding 2 TBL of water helps the mixture bind together also. Homemade Lara bars are much more budget friendly than buying them in the store. They are also one of the easiest things I make in my kitchen. Using a food processor really cuts down on the time and effort.
