I tried this Pecan fudge bar recipe this weekend and I could not stop eating it! Every once in a while I would have to go to the kitchen and cut off a tiny little square to enjoy. Whenever I eat one of these it make me smile.
Pecan Fudge Bars
A wonderful shortbread crust, gooey chocolate fudge filling and amazing nutty chocolate topping
Prep Time 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 ounces
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips divided
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups pecans
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions

In a large bowl, beat butter until fluffy.

Add the flour, sugar and salt

Beat until just crumbly

Press into a greased 13x9 in baking pan

Bake at 350 for 13-16 minutes, until edges have set and just begin to brown

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine condensed milk and semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cook and stir until chips are melted

Remove from heat

Stir in vanilla

Spread melted mixture over crust

Combine the pecans and dark chocolate chips in a small bowl

Sprinkle over filling

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until center is set

Cool on a wire rack

Cut into bars
