“My family received admission to Ruby Falls, however, All opinions are my own”
We recently took a little family get away to Chattanooga, Tennessee. I had driven through Chattanooga many times, but had never taken the time to stop and see the attractions. We were only there for a couple of days, and Chattanooga has so much to offer, so we didn’t get to see everything. One of our favorite stops was Ruby Falls. If you have ever driven through Tennessee, you have seen all the billboards advertising for Ruby Falls. This is a great stop to admire Nature at it’s finest.
Ruby Falls offers a guided tour of their caves with the Piece De Resistance being Ruby Falls. The Falls are located 1120 feet below the surface in an amazing cave system. At the beginning of your tour you will board an elevator which takes you down to the caves.
The walk to the Falls is filled with all kinds of formations to oh and aw over. I was amazed at the glory of Mother Nature and the wonders that have been created.
Each one is different and wonderful and amazing. A knowledgeable tour guide is provided to give you facts and history about the cave and answer any question you may have. It was so fun to go with the kids, they kept pointing their fingers at this and that with wide eyes and smiles. They wanted to take a picture of everything. Many of the formations have been given names and it is fun to see what they resemble. We took lots of pictures, but I don’t want to spoil everything for you!
Of course the biggest wonder of all is Ruby Falls itself. This magnificent Water Fall is located deep in the cave and falls over 145 feet. They have done a wonderful job of lighting it to bring out the magnificence, with the colors changing every so often. It was beautiful, breath-taking, amazing!
Our family so enjoyed our visit to Ruby Falls. I love being able to see natural creations and marvel at the beautiful earth God has blessed us with. Ruby Falls has so much to offer. When you drive up you will see the entrance is a wonderful stone castle that houses admissions, gift shop and a cafe. It also offers a great view of Chattanooga, plus it is just fun to look at this amazing castle.
If you have a chance to visit Ruby Falls, please don’t miss it. It truly is a wonder to enjoy.
