I love baking when fall weather comes to town. It makes the house feel cozy and warm and also makes it smell incredibly delicious. I think nothing says fall like baking some delicious spiced pumpkin bread (or maybe some pumpkin chip cookies). There is something about the flavor and pumpkin and the blend of spices that compliment it that taste wonderful.
Over the years I have tired a lot of different pumpkin breads, but have not found a favorite, until now. Most of the pumpkin breads I have found have about a cup of oil and make one loaf of bread. Not this amazing recipe! 1/2 a cup of oil and it makes two wonderful, flavorful loaves of bread.
This recipe has a wonderful mixture of spices. It is just not my usual cinnamon and nutmeg but it also has allspice and cloves. A lot of cloves, which I was a little frightened of because they can be so powerful, but they are just right. I hope you enjoy this spiced pumpkin bread. I know my family did.
