One of the 11 new experiences in Wildwood Grove is Wildwood Creek. It is a splash pad that features splashing pools, water jets, and other wet play activities.
Kids will love this area and if you need a swim suit, you can purchase one just across the way at Mountain Grove Merchants
Mountain Grove Merchants has lots of fun souvenirs, snacks, drinks, swimming suits and towels. Even some fun jewelry.
It is a fun little shop to get out of the sun and look around and find some great merchandise
What Dollywood Rides are there at Wildwood Grove?
6 new rides have been added to Dollywood. These are all very family friendly and geared more toward younger ages, however, there are a couple of rides even my teens will love.
Treetop Tower ascends nearly 40 feet in the air. You are seated inside giant acorns and spin around a tall oak tree. There are gorgeous views of Dollywood at the top.
Black Bear Trail is an easy going ride that anyone can love. I sure did. I know my teens and adults kids will also, along with the younger crowds.
Riders are able to hop onto the back of a black bear and take a trek through the “woods”. It was actually really fun and relaxing and everyone who rode it had smiles on their faces.
The new rollercoaster is amazing!
The Dragonflier is a ride I know all my family will love. It is a mild roller coaster, but still has a lot of thrill.
What I loved about it was it went UNDERGROUND and flys through gushing geysers and skimms across a water feature.
This rollercoaster is unique because you hang below the track like you are flying through the woods. It is a fast one minute ride that your family will love.
Dollywood also has tests seats outside all their rollercoasters so that you can make sure you fit well in them.
The Giant Tree Swing will be a one of my family’s favorites for sure. It is just like a classic pirate ship ride that swings back and forth. Whenever we ride this together we always get laughing and giggling together.
The Mad Mockingbird takes you sailing on the back of a mockingbird. The great thing about this flight is that you can control your ride experience a bit.
Riders are able to move a “sail” making your bird go up or down. It was so much fun.
A fun ride for the little ones will be Frogs & Fireflies. Hop aboard a giant frog and go leaping around a lily pad. This one looked really fun for the younger crowd.
Unique experiences are found all over
When you get tired of being out in the sun or the weather, a visit to Hidden Hollow is in order. This is an indoor, climate controlled playground with tons of climbing structures to keep the kids happy.
Dollywood is so good about taking care of our needs. They have huge clean bathrooms and convenient water fountains. The new ones even have handy water bottle fillers.
Remember this handy tip too. You can request free ice water at any place which serves fountain drinks.
I was so impressed with Wildwood grove and all the care that was taken to create it. It is a very peaceful part of the theme park with lots of areas to sit in the shade and watch all the goings on.
Lots of man-made “natural” elements make it feel like you are exploring in the Smoky Mountains. I know families old and young will find lots to love about Wildwood Grove.
We haven’t been to Dollywood in a few years — we need to make a trip to see this gorgeous new attraction! Every time we’ve been it’s been amazing. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful place right here in Tennessee!
They have really done a lot in the last few years. You would love it.
