I love decorating for Winter. It can be a simple way to add a little brightness to the sometimes dreary days. I love to use lots of white and silver to compliment the mood of the season.
I find most of my decorating supplies at the after Christmas sales. You can find sparkly snowflakes, silver branches etc. for a good price. I have collected a few things over the years. Simply display them in a crystal vase, or a mason jar. I have also used metal snowflake cookies cutters for accent pieces. Let you imagination run wild with anything sparkly, silvery or white. You can really change your decor to a winter theme, quick and easy. Plus, I think it looks very elegant.
This year I added some new shelves and decorated them up to celebrate the cold temperatures and the falling snow.
Look around your house and see what you have that falls into the winter color scheme. A quick and easy way to add some sparkle and white to your decor, is to simply fill a glass jar with epsom salts. It is a beautiful way to compliment the season.
I had fun going through family pictures and finding some great pictures of us enjoying the snow. I had them printed all in 4×6 prints and then collected several silver frames and played around with placement until I had the best look. Such a fun and easy project. I love to look at them as I walk by. The pictures capture everyone’s different personalities well.
The sparkle and shine of the decor just makes me smile.
